Job summary

TemPositions Health Care in New York State seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care to residents within the LPN scope. The LPN is accountable for resident care quality and service delivery, with responsibilities including medication administration and care coordination.

You will supervise HHAs and RCAs, document in the electronic health record, follow policies, participate in in-service programs, and assist with scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse licensed to practice in New York.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification.
• Experience in assisted living, post-acute or long-term care preferred.
• Must convey and understand information in English.
• Ability to handle workplace problems, assimilate complex information, and meet deadlines.
• Stand for long hours and walk long distances as needed.
• Utilize technology to support resident needs and safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver nursing care within the LPN scope.
• Supervise care provided by HHAs and RCAs.
• Manage medications and assist with self-administration of meds.
• Document care in the electronic health record per standards.
• Attend in-service programs and staff meetings.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing of Resident Care staff.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Follow emergency procedures and safety practices.
