Howmet Aerospace in Branford, CT is seeking a Laser Weld Machine Operator Trainee for the Weekend Crew. The role entails setting up and operating laser powder welding equipment and various polishing tools in a metal shop environment.

The weekend shift runs 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, with either one 12-hour day or two 6-hour days on weekdays, totaling 36 hours weekly but paid for 40. Starting wage is $22.00 per hour, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus after six months; strong benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Access to export-controlled items; authorized to work in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser powder welding equipment.
• Operate polishing equipment including belt-sander and grinders.
• Review work instructions and ensure compliance with product requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety rules.
• Complete related paperwork and logs as required.
