Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to support sample collection and processing in a regulated clinical setting. You will perform venipunctures and prepare blood specimens following CMS CLIA '88, OSHA, and Piedmont policies, assisting technical staff as needed.

Education required: HS diploma or GED. No experience is required, though 1 year phlebotomy, EKG, or healthcare experience is preferred; CPT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• EKG experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and Piedmont policies.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
