Acadia Healthcare is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist for Pacific Grove Hospital in Riverside, California. The role involves diagnosing and treating mental illnesses through psychotherapy, medications, and hospital-based care.

The position is a 1099 contractor with weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) and an on-call schedule Friday 5pm to Monday 7am, offering flexible weekend coverage and per-eval / per-follow-up compensation.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required.
• Board certification/eligibility in psychiatry.
• Licensed to practice in the state where the facility operates.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
• Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
• Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
• Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Education

Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO)
