Village Caregiving is seeking caring individuals to help seniors with daily tasks, grooming and companionship in Louisville, KY. Training is provided to support your growth in the field.

Responsibilities include medication assistance, mobility support, personal care, light housekeeping, and coordinating with healthcare providers. A flexible schedule and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required or current.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, family and healthcare providers.
• Good time management and interpersonal skills to support daily tasks.
• Physical endurance to perform caregiving duties safely.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and basic cooking with dietary awareness.

Responsabilités

• Assist clients with medications as prescribed.
• Support mobility and accompany to appointments and activities.
• Aid with personal care and hygiene routines.
• Help with prescribed physical therapy and exercises.
• Run errands, shop, or accompany clients on shopping trips.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed.
• Collect information from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family.
• Report any unusual incidents to clinicians and family.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

We are actively seeking individuals who are passionate about helping the elderly with their daily tasks. As a caregiver, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care and companionship to seniors who may require assistance with grooming, meal preparation, medication management, and light housekeeping.

While previous experience in caregiving is preferred, we also welcome individuals who are willing to learn and grow in this field. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help clients take prescribed medication

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises

• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed

• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals

• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members

• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members

• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required

• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification

• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints

• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner

• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills

• Physical endurance to complete required tasks

• High school diploma or equivalent
