Job summary

Truman Medical Center in Kansas City is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Unit (ICU) for weekend shifts. You will deliver expert nursing care to patients with acute, chronic, or terminal illnesses in a high-acuity setting.

In this part-time role (Sat/Sun, 24 hours/week), you will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Stay compliant with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational requirements.
