TeamHealth is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible ICU physician for weekend coverage at Baptist Health - Shelby Hospital in Alabaster, Alabama. You will provide direct ICU care, manage life-support, and collaborate with the care team to implement individualized plans.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in critical care medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine.
• Alabama medical license or eligibility.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including daily patient assessment and management of life-support technologies.
• Ventilator management, hemodynamic support and critical care procedures.
• Collaborate with specialists, hospitalists, nursing, respiratory therapy and ancillary services to develop individualized care plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, clinical decision-making, and family communication.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts, and ICU protocols; participate in scheduled coverage including nights or weekends.

TeamHealth is seeking aboard-certified or board-eligible, part-time ICU physician to join our established critical care team atBaptist Health - Shelby Hospital for weekend coverage in Alabaster, Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including daily patient assessment, management of life-support technologies, ventilator management, hemodynamic support and critical care procedures
• Collaborate with specialists, hospitalists, nursing, respiratory therapy and ancillary services to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, clinical decision-making, and family communication
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system
• Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts and institutional protocols within the ICU
• Participate in scheduled coverage, including nights or weekend call as defined by the department schedule
