Job summary

HomeWell Senior Care, Inc. is seeking a Weekend Home Care Aide in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to work directly with patients in one-on-one home care.

You will follow care plans, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a clean, safe home environment. Strong communication and compassion are essential; CPR and a Home Health Aide program are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Home Health Aide program.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of professional care experience preferred.
• CPR certification is required, driver’s license may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities (getting in/out of bed, baths, wheelchair transfers).
• Care for patients by changing linens, launder, clean the home, or assist with personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care and report observations to supervisor.
• Engage patients through conversation or reading to support mental alertness.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Encourage participation in exercises or activities to promote health.

We are looking for a Weekend Home Care Aide to join our team! You will be directly working with patients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes.

You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
• Give medications and immunizations
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program
• High School Diploma or GED
• One year prior professional experience
• Driver’s license required

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
