Job summary

BrightStar Care – Cuyahoga West is seeking a Weekend Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide compassionate, personalized care to a client living with Parkinson's disease. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, and companionship in the home.

The role features a Friday–Sunday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with pay at $23–$25 per hour and on-call stipend opportunities of $50–$100 per shift. BrightStar Care supports safety, privacy, and adherence to care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of caregiving or direct care experience preferred.
• Experience with Parkinson's disease is a plus.
• CPR certification and health clearance per agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Assist with sit-to-stand transfers, mobility, and safe movement throughout the home.
• Offer companionship and supervision to promote the client's comfort and well-being.
• Accompany the client to lunch, appointments, and other activities as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the care team.
• Follow the individualized care plan and maintain client privacy and confidentiality.
