Job summary

Sharkey's Cuts for Kids in Peoria is seeking enthusiastic stylists for Saturday and Sunday shifts to join our kid-focused salon. The role offers weekend work during our busiest times with flexible options including full-day and half-day slots, designed to help you build your book.

You will create a fun, safe experience for ages 0–14, listen and communicate clearly, and upsell appropriate retail. We provide receptionist support, paid sick leave, ongoing training, and a culture that rewards

Job description

Looking for great weekend income? Sharkey's Cuts for Kids is hiring happy, energetic stylists and barbers for Saturday and Sunday shifts. Weekends are our busiest days, so you'll stay booked and earn well. It's a great fit if you work at a salon that's closed Sundays, are building your book, or just want strong weekend pay. We're a salon for kids ages 0–14, on a mission to WOW every client from the moment they walk in. It's not just a cut, it's an experience.

The Schedule

• Saturdays 9 AM–6 PM, Sundays 9 AM–5 PM
• Full-day, morning (9 AM–1 PM), and Sunday afternoon (1–5 PM) shifts available
• Weekend-only welcome, with more hours available if you want them
• Mornings are our busiest time, so you'll be booked from the start

What You'll Earn

• Earn $40–47/hour including tips ($16.25–18/hour base, depending on experience)
• Tips paid out immediately
• 20% commission on retail product sales
