Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a surgical physician in South Carolina to join a busy practice. You will provide weekend call coverage, inpatient rounds, and daily surgical and consult volumes with support from APPs. Robotic capabilities on site are a plus, with two hospital facilities to cover.

Candidates should be board-certified MD/DO with surgical experience; housing and travel arrangements may be provided by the team, and credentialing is streamlined through CompHealth.

Qualifications

• MD/DO board-certified in surgery.
• Experience with inpatient rounding and perioperative care preferred.
• Robotic surgery training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Weekend call: Fri 7 am–Mon 7 am, 1 weekend/month.
• Daily inpatient rounding (30–40) with APP support.
• Perform 4–5 cases per day on average.
• Handle 8–10 consults daily.
• Cover two hospital facilities: primary in-person and on-call site.
• On-site robotic system available; training a plus.
