Room & Board is hiring a Part Time Retail & Warehouse Associate in Oak Brook, IL. The role blends hands-on furniture handling with delivering an exceptional shopping experience for customers.

The position is 70% furniture handling and 30% customer assistance, with weekend shifts (Saturdays and Sundays, 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) and one weekend off per month. Salary is $18.50 per hour with benefits including a 401(k) match and employee discount.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail, customer service, warehouse, merchandising or similar fast-paced setting.
• Comfort lifting and moving furniture, standing and walking for long periods.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide identity/work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and help them find pieces they love while keeping showroom organized.
• Handle and merchandise furniture and accessories, moving items with teammates as needed.
• Maintain safety, use equipment properly, and follow store processes.
