Job summary

Farrar Corporation in Norwich, KS is seeking motivated General Laborers for a weekend shift in a busy foundry environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on training, room for advancement, and stable full-time employment with a growing team.

You will lift materials weighing 25 pounds or more, assist with furnace tasks, and help maintain quality and safety while supporting production across departments. Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM, with paid 40 hours for 36 hours worked.

Qualifications

• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE at all times.

Weekend Shift – General Labor

(Work 36 Hours and Get Paid for 40)

Location - Norwich, KS

Schedule - Friday, Saturday & Sunday; 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Compensation - $18/hour plus shift differential

Position Summary

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as General Laborers at a well-established and growing foundry in Norwich, KS. This is an entry-level opportunity with strong potential for advancement and long-term career growth within the foundry industry.

This vital role provides labor support throughout the foundry and is critical to the success of the casting and production process. You will have the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals specializing in metallurgy and ironwork while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lift castings and other materials weighing 25 pounds or more
• Accurately complete required paperwork and quality checks
• Operate multiple machines and heavy equipment
• Assist with furnace relining

Work Environment

This position works in a foundry and manufacturing environment that may include heat, dust, noise, and heavy industrial equipment. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work safely throughout a 12-hour shift.
