Job summary

Uncle Giuseppe's in New York is seeking a part-time Sampler for weekends to provide tasty food samples to store customers. You will slice, plate and offer samples, answering questions to help drive sales.

Shifts run Saturdays and Sundays 10am-4pm, plus holidays. The role requires a friendly, energetic attitude, basic food-handling, and English proficiency; HS diploma and 1 year of food sales experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of sales experience in food.
• Excellent communication and approachable demeanor.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to interact with the public and handle objections.
• Proficient in English (read/write/speak).

Responsibilities

• Draw customers to sampling table and encourage them to try items.
• Answer questions about the food item.
• Prepare samples by cutting, slicing, pouring, and placing on table/cart.
• Adhere to proper food handling guidelines and store procedures.
• Operate a small tabletop oven to heat items when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
