Job summary

CPS-NYC is seeking a part-time, in-person Security Guard in New York. The role requires a valid NYS Security License and FO-1/Fireguard credentials, with a pay rate starting at $17.00 per hour. Education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, the ability to stand and move about for long periods, and adherence to all safety and regulatory standards. Weekend shifts are available as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid NYS Security License.
• 8hr/16hr certificates.
• F-01 Fireguard Required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of following complex instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Flexibility in schedule preferred including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Must be able to stand, walk up and downstairs.
• Adhere to all company services and operating standards.
• Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.
• Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.
• Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control, and accident investigations.
