Job summary

Clean Harbors in La Porte, TX is seeking Weekend Facility Technicians to join the team. The role focuses on loading/unloading trucks, sorting batteries, preparing waste shipments, and maintaining inventory and safe storage practices.

The position starts in the battery area with growth into pumping and trailer loading areas as skills develop. The weekend shift runs Friday through Monday, 10-hour days, from 6:30am to 5:00pm, with compensation at $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of related labor and computer experience.
• Forklift skills preferred or willing to get certified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety as the top priority and perform tasks safely.
• Load and unload route trucks.
• Sort batteries and prepare loads for trucks.
• Work in the fuel area and trailer loading area to prepare shipments.
• Perform housekeeping and facility improvement projects as needed.
• Prepare waste loads for shipment to recycling/distribution centers.
• Manage inventory order and receiving processes.
• Maintain a clean work area and safe waste storage.

4 DAY WORK WEEK!!!

Clean Harbors located in La Porte, TX is seeking Weekend Facility Technicians to add to the team.

The Weekend Facility Technician for La Porte TX will be responsible for completing all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner. This includes loading/unloading trucks, preparing waste shipments, reconciling inventory, general housekeeping, and compliance with waste storage. This position will focus on loading. Position will start in the battery area sorting batteries, will learn the pumping and trailer loading areas once that area is mastered. During the winter will help with housekeeping projects in the facility which could include painting or other improvement items.

Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday - 10-hour shifts. 6:30am-5:00pm

Pay: $20/HR

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;


• Load and unload route trucks;


• Sorting batteries;


• Working in the fuel area preparing loads for trucks;


• Working in the trailer loading area, loading trailers;


• Housekeeping projects and improvement projects at the facility;


• Prepare waste loads for shipment to Recycle Center/Distribution Center;


• Manage inventory order and receiving process;


• General housekeeping and keeping a clean work area;


• Ensure waste is stored in safe and proper manner.
