Job summary

Boston IVF is seeking an Endocrine Laboratory Technician for weekend coverage in Providence, RI. The role requires operating and maintaining hormone analyzers on site, with strict adherence to specimen handling, reporting, and record-keeping in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science or related field preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months’ laboratory training toward degree or experience in a clinical or research lab required.
• EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment and hormone analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and current records of patient results and inventory; reports results into EMR.
• Adheres to quality control policies; documents calibrations and maintenance.
• Follows procedures when test systems are outside acceptable performance levels.
• Stays current with OSHA safety procedures and operating guidelines.
• Works with multidisciplinary teams to provide good patient care and uphold standards.
• Keeps patient information confidential and adheres to HIPAA.
