Job summary

Essentia Health Ada is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician (Casual) to cover weekend shifts in Ada, MN. The role supports a Level IV Trauma Center with a 14-bed critical access hospital, in a physician-led, collegial department.

EPIC DAX ambient voice documentation is used, and shifts are Fri 4:30pm–Mon 8:00am, with 8–15 patient encounters per weekend. BC/BE in EM or BC/BE in Family Medicine with EM experience are required, along with ACLS, ATLS/CALS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with EM experience.
• ACLS, ATLS/CALS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Cover weekend shifts (Fri 4:30pm – Mon 8:00am).
• Manage 8–15 patient encounters per weekend.
• Utilize EPIC DAX ambient voice for documentation.
• Work in a physician-led, collegial Emergency Services department.
• A Level IV Trauma Center at Essentia Health Ada with a 14-bed Critical Access unit.
