Job summary

Acceptance LLC is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in a fast-paced environment, primarily on weekends. The role involves personal care, promoting independence, safety monitoring, and community engagement to help clients reach daily living goals.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, documenting progress, and coordinating transportation to activities while following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred
• Must be 21 years or older
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Minimum 1 year of experience with individuals with intellectual, developmental, or behavioral disabilities
• Ability to pass Local Law & Level II background check
• Availability to complete training including crisis intervention, medication administration, and first aid/CPR

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (toileting, bathing, dressing, hygiene, mobility)
• Encourage client independence and offer choices in daily activities
• Assist with daily living skills, behavior plans, and service goals
• Monitor health and safety and report needs
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean living environment
• Foster positive social interactions and plan community activities
• Transport clients to community outings and medical appointments following safety protocols
• Ensure safe meal prep with dietary restrictions and provide mealtime assistance
• Document client progress and health status in timely records
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in required trainings
