Friendship Community Care is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Austin, AR. This part-time role covers weekends with 10-hour shifts.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to assist clients in daily living activities, transportation, and care plans within home and community settings. The job requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid Arkansas driver's license, with duties including documentation, safety compliance, and coordinating recreational activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two+ years' experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Must have a valid Arkansas driver's license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks.
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments; requires Arkansas Driver's License.
• Maintain communication via logs and meetings about clients' needs and progress.
• Complete required documentation (Behavioral/Incident/Progress reports, etc.).
• Maintain records and mileage/billing forms per Medicaid guidelines.
• Report incidents and emergencies to supervisors promptly; safety sensitive role.
• Assist in Plan of Care formulation and monitoring of health and safety.
• Follow medication management guidelines and document accordingly.
• Organize and carry out recreational activities for clients.
• Model appropriate behavior and dress code; represent FCC positively.
• Maintain FCC facilities and vehicles; assist with maintenance.
• Attend necessary training and continuing education.
• Provide proof of liability insurance as required.
• May drive personal vehicle for participant transportation.
