Job summary

ADAPT of Hudson Valley is seeking caring Direct Support Professionals to help individuals lead independent and fulfilling lives. This full-time weekend role requires availability Friday 2:00 PM through Monday 9:00 AM, with shifts based on program needs.

No experience is necessary—bring patience, energy, and compassion to make a real community impact. You will work with a supportive team, assist with daily activities, and participate in outings that promote growth and dignity.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and must maintain it in good standing.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with coworkers, residents and their families.
• Six months of related experience preferred but not required.
• Direct Support Professionals must be approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP) at time of hire or will be trained and certified within six months.

This position is a full time DSP position working on the weekends. Availability must be from Friday 2:00pm through Monday 9:00 am. Shift's are based off the needs of the program, no set schedule.

• Must work 32 hours every week between Friday 2:00 p.m. and Monday 9:00 a.m.
