Job summary

Nuvia Staffing is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals for weekend, part-time roles in California. You will provide essential care to individuals with disabilities, support daily living tasks, and implement behavior plans in a safe, respectful environment.

Shifts run on Saturdays and Sundays with locations including Long Beach, Pasadena, Los Angeles, and Inglewood. CPR/First Aid and Live Scan are required, with a focus on dignity, safety, and client independence.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license, car registration, and proof of insurance.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is required.
• Live Scan background check or ability to obtain one.
• TB test within last 4 years.
• Experience with medication administration in care settings preferred.
• Experience with autism or developmental disabilities valued.
• Ability to collaborate with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Commitment to a clean and safe care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and support to individuals with developmental and behavioral challenges.
• Mentor and model positive behavior to promote trust and personal growth.
• Assist with daily living tasks including personal care and meals.
• Administer medications in accordance with policies and HIPAA requirements.
• Document behaviors and progress accurately per regulatory standards.
• Implement behavior support plans and use de-escalation techniques.
• Lead structured programming and recreational activities aligned with behavioral goals.
