Job summary

Friendship Community Care Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join an interdisciplinary team in home and community settings.

Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday with 5 hours flex and 3:00 PM–9:00 PM; education requires a high school diploma or GED with two+ years’ related experience. You will assist clients with daily living tasks, provide transportation, document progress, follow care plans, and ensure safety and confidentiality in all interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two+ years' experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic math/computer skills such as adding, subtracting, and computing rates.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks (showers, dressing, housekeeping, meals, budgeting).
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments as needed with valid Arkansas Driver's License.
• Maintain communication about clients' needs and progress via logs and meetings; complete required documentation.
• Follow medication management guidelines and monitor procedures; maintain records per Medicaid guidelines.
• Participate in Plan of Care formulation and ensure safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance.
