Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care in Chantilly, VA is seeking a compassionate CNA, HHA, or PCA to provide one-on-one care for a female client at her home on weekends from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, delivering patient-centered support and dementia care. The role emphasizes patience, attentiveness, and maintaining a calm routine, with paid training, flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and W-2 employment.

You will assist with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and reporting

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia CNA/HHA/PCA certification required.
• Experience caring for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proof of negative TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate one-on-one companionship and supervision.
• Assist with personal care and daily routines.
• Support bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting as needed.
• Assist with safe mobility and transfers.
• Prepare meals and provide light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Maintain a calm, safe, and reassuring environment.
• Observe and report changes in the client’s condition or behavior.
• Document the care provided after each visit.
