Job summary

Mattress Firm is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager in Oceanside, CA to help run daily distribution center operations and supervise the DC team, contributing to financial targets while maintaining safety standards. You will foster teamwork, oversee onboarding, and ensure world-class service for customers and internal partners.

Required is a High School diploma with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience. Join a growth‑oriented company. Must work weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the efficient day-to-day operations of the distribution center.
• Contribute to meeting overall financial objectives of the distribution center.
• Create and foster an environment of trust, open two-way communication, and cohesive team effort.
• Ensure adherence to operational processes, policies, and procedures.
• Verify driver payroll for accuracy.
• Conduct required physical cycle counts, review discrepancies, and make appropriate corrections.
• Ensure a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures.
