Job summary

Eagleville Hospital seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential nursing care for acutely ill patients in a mental health setting. The role includes monitoring patient status, updating care plans, and assisting physicians as needed.

The nurse will conduct health teaching, participate in counseling sessions with patients, and support group education efforts. Pennsylvania license and CPR/BLS cert required, with 8- or 12-hour shifts and every other weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and active PA RN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in psychiatric or drug/alcohol settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic nursing care procedures for acutely ill patients.
• Monitor patients' health status continuously.
• Update and write nursing care plans; document appropriately.

The hospital serves as a regional resource for the treatment and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as a national resource for training and research for addiction and related conditions. The hospital also houses an older adult unit, which is short-term program for clients aged 55 years and older in need of a secure, therapeutic environment. The hospital also houses a 16-bed acute psychiatric unit.
