Job summary

Michigan State University College of Engineering is seeking a part-time custodial team member to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and beauty of MSU facilities. The role involves cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and general areas in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, following established methods and safety guidelines.

The candidate will work Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with potential after-hours, weekend, and holiday adjustments.

Qualifications

• One-year experience with commercial or institutional cleaning methods, techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming of floors and carpets.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms including showers, toilets, urinals, sinks, towel dispensers and mirrors.
• Dust and wash windows, mirrors, interior glass, blinds and ledges; dust furniture and empty waste containers; sort recycling materials.
