Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• One year related experience to be proficient.
• ARRT CT registration and TDSHS MRT license required

Responsibilities

• Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table per Radiologist protocols.
• Administers contrast orally or intravenously as ordered by physician/radiologist.
• Enters scan data (type, slice thickness, time) into computer.
• Starts CT scanner to image designated anatomical areas.
• Monitors patient safety and comfort via intercom and control room window.
• Views CT images to ensure quality of the study.
• Performs CT image post-processing (MIPS, multiplanar reconstructions).
• Ensures charges and supplies are entered in Meditech HIS and RIS in a timely manner.
