Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a weekend Cat Scan Technologist to cover three 12-hour shifts Friday through Sunday from 7 am to 7 pm. This role offers a premium weekend rate and included benefits.

The technologist will perform CT scans, assist Radiologists during invasive procedures, inject contrast, and ensure high-quality images and accurate documentation. ARRT training/registry and CPR certification are required, with ongoing education and patient safety emphasized.

Qualifications

• ARRT recognized education program or ARRT registration/eligibility.
• One-year staff technologist experience.
• Advanced CT registry required within one year from hire date.
• Current CPR certification required before orientation.
• History of computer usage experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs various CT scans and assists Radiologist during invasive procedures.
• Directly assists Radiologist during invasive procedures and performs CT examinations as directed.
• Communicates clinical observations to Radiologist during CT examinations.
• Presents clinical history as recorded on appropriate documentation to Radiologist.
• Maintains competency in RIS/HIS modules relevant to the role.
• Injects contrast for CT scans per department policy; reviews patient questionnaire before start.
• Performs 3-D imaging functions.
• Provides educational information to patients regarding their examination.
• Maintains confidentiality of all materials and proper release of information.
• Ensures accurate patient selection and medical record information before sending to PACS.
• Contributes to department goals to achieve Press Ganey scores and patient education for every patient.
