Job summary

Mondelēz International in Chicago, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to operate and maintain equipment under autonomous maintenance (AM) standards, delivering on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets.

Under coaching, you will perform standard work on equipment, report losses, and contribute to a diverse, collaborative environment. A High School Diploma and experience in high-speed manufacturing are required; weekend overtime may be necessary.

You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

How you will contribute

You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

Education / Certifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).

Job specific requirements

Manufacturing Experience: Experience in a high-speed industrial/manufacturing environment is required.

Availability / Flexibility

Must be able to work any shift, and work daily & weekend overtime, if necessary.

Physical Capability

Must be able to bend, carry, reach, climb, twist, and lift, up to 50-pounds. Must be able to operate different types of manufacturing equipment (i.e., transports, forklifts, etc.). Must be able to perform visual inspection and measuring techniques. Must be able to complete quality and production required paperwork legibly, accurately, and timely. Ability to perform various duties as necessary, often changing from one task to another in different environments.

Work schedule

Weekend shifts available with some required overtime. Have shift flexibility is required.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position is $23.10/hour. The position offers healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, and paid time off, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements.
