Job summary

Votaw Precision Technologies is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor for the Weekend Shift to lead a high-precision CNC machining operation. You will supervise machinists, programmers, and setup personnel, ensuring delivery of quality parts on time while solving manufacturing challenges on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in close-tolerance machining, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Production Control to meet program

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of machining experience in a close-tolerance, precision manufacturing environment.
• 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a machine shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, setup, tooling, feeds/speeds, and close-tolerance manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily machine shop operations involving CNC machining processes in a close-tolerance environment.
• Provide hands-on technical support with machine setups, tooling selection, and process troubleshooting.
• Supervise and mentor machinists, programmers, setup personnel, and shop support team.
• Drive production efficiency, quality performance, and on-time delivery objectives.
• Review and prioritize production schedules to ensure customer commitments are achieved.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Program Management teams.
