Job summary

Extendicare Health and Rehab in Dothan, AL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for full-time weekend-only shifts. The role provides routine daily personal care to residents in accordance with the plan of care and requires active CNA certification.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, document care, and support residents during meals and activities, while following safety and infection-control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid CNA certification in Alabama or obtain certification within 120 days of hire.
• Experience as a CNA preferred.
• Applicants must be able to perform ADL care and lifting assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care and ADL care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Keeps resident rooms clean and neat.
• Documents care as instructed and required.
• Reports changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
• Assists with transporting residents to dining, therapy, and activities.
• Monitors and records vital signs and reports changes.
• Encourages resident participation in activities and rehabilitative procedures.
