Job summary

Ocean Gardens Care Center in New York is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Nursing Department. You will provide direct resident care, assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, and support care plans under supervision of the Nurse in Charge.

Weekend availability is a must; we offer extensive 1199 Union benefits, paid holidays and leave, and a pension plan. The role requires NYS CNA certification and registry listing.

Qualifications

• Geriatric care experience preferred.
• Must possess a current NYS Certified Nursing Assistant certification and be listed in the RHCF Nurses Aide Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care services as per Resident Care Plan.
• Assist with ADLs: walking, toileting, bathing, feeding with/without assistance.
• Assist with personal hygiene: mouth, feet, eye/ear care.
• Greet residents and families during admissions; ensure rooms are ready.
• Assist in transfers/discharges and log appropriately.
• Help residents in mobility and positioning; transport as needed.
• Perform rehab nursing tasks and document ROM exercises.
• Prepare residents for exams and assist with ostomy care as directed.
