Job summary
Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is expanding its caregiver team in Silver Spring, seeking kind CNAs and GNAs with a true calling for compassionate home care. You’ll join a trusted company with over 20 years of experience, offering support, training, and advancement opportunities.
The weekend shift pays $22 per hour and requires at least 3 years of caregiving experience, including experience with a Hoyer lift and stand-assist lift. A reliable vehicle is required and immediate start is available.
Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Current CNA license.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to understand care plans and assessments.
- Must have current doctor’s medical health clearance including a negative TB test.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care (bathing, dressing, transfers).
- Meal preparation.
- Light housekeeping.
- Monitor and report physical and behavioral changes.
- Assist with medication reminders.
- Assist with ambulation.
- Monitor BP and glucose levels.
