Job summary

PDI (Perishable Distributors of Iowa, LTD.) is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Route Driver in Ankeny, IA. You will operate semi-tractor/trailer, perform inspections, and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining DOT compliance and accurate paperwork.

Responsibilities include customer service at delivery points, product placement, and temperature monitoring to preserve product integrity. CDL and reefer experience are preferred, with physical requirements to lift and move loads.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• CDL license and DOT certification required.
• Able to read and write to complete paperwork accurately.
• 1–2 years semi-driving experience preferred.
• Reefer experience and safe driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi-tractor and trailer to scheduled destination.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required reports.
• Adhere to DOT hours-of-service and maintain logs (ELD or paper as needed).
• Complete customer service tasks at stores including product placement and paperwork.
• Monitor temperature and product integrity in transit and at delivery points.
