Job summary

Olympic Neighbors is seeking a Caregiver for Saturdays and overnight fill-ins in Port Townsend, WA. The role supports 6 residents with IDD, assisting with daily routines, meals, and personal care to foster a safe, meaningful home life in the community.

The position emphasizes weekend work with potential for extra hours, on-site training, and a requirement to commute to Port Townsend. Vaccination and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Criminal background check/fingerprints required.
• Physically able to perform job functions.
• Current driver’s license and positive driving record.
• Auto insurance.
• 2-step TB test.
• On-site training provided.
• Experience caring for people with IDD preferred.
• Ability to commute/relocate to Port Townsend, WA 98368.

Responsibilities

• Support residents to thrive in the home and community.
• Engage residents and connect with them in a genuine and compassionate way.
• Provide support for all aspects of residents’ daily needs.
• Assist with meal planning and preparation.
• Maintain documentation in client files/medication logs - Ensure the health and safety of residents inside and out of their home.
• Assist with resident medication.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
