Job summary

Orion Homes is seeking reliable caregivers for weekend shifts in our Phoenix area group homes. You will provide non‑medical care, personal hygiene support, and companionship to residents with developmental and/or physical disabilities, ensuring programs meet individual goals and safety.

Responsibilities include assisting with medications, preparing meals, documenting care, and communicating with shifts. Must pass background checks, hold necessary certifications, and be able to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Two Negative TB Skin Tests or a Negative TB Blood test, or a Positive TB Skin Test.
• CPI certificate.
• First Aid & CPR certification.
• Article 9 certification.
• High School Diploma/GED or Higher.
• Valid Fingerprint Level 1 Clearance Card (must provide on own).
• Must pass all background checks (federal, state, APS, CPS, OIG).
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to residents in group homes.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, ADLs, and dressing; ensure safety.
• Assist with medication passes by the six rights of medication passing.
• Prepare and serve meals per prescribed diets and menus.
• Electronically document resident care in QuickMar/Caresuite and update records.
• Report observations and incidents to supervisor and house team.
• Transport residents to doctors’ appointments and outings as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe home and proper storage of medications and chemicals.
