Job summary

Amaraycares is seeking a dedicated Caregiver in Brandywine, Maryland to provide essential physical care and emotional support for clients who may be unable to care for themselves. The role includes tasks like light housekeeping, meal preparation, and assisting clients with daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess compassion, empathy, and at least one year of experience in home health care. Working hours are Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Applicants must have a high school diploma and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

Amaray Care is looking for a Caregiver to join our team. The Caregiver is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.

The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. This person will encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times.

Responsibilities

• Home assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands, or provide transportation if needed. Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications. Prepare meals, purchase food, and provide personal assistance with general living needs. Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
• Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting an individual.

Requirements

• 1 year minimum experience in Home Health Care
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to complete and pass a Criminal Background report
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time

Schedule

Saturday-Sunday (10:00 am-2:00 pm) 4 hr shifts
