Job summary

Chicago Derm seeks a board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for locum coverage in Illinois. The role is inpatient adult CT surgery with weekend calls and a predictable on-site CVU support. Responsibilities include emergent cases, rounding and post-surgical management, with referrals from Cardiology.

Coverage is 1–2 weekends per month (3–6 shifts total). Illinois license required; LOQ via IMLC acceptable. BLS, CSR and DEA certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must be MD or DO.
• Board Certified in Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery.
• Illinois license required; LOQ acceptable under IMLC.
• BLS, CSR and DEA certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient adult cardiothoracic coverage with defined pager response.
• Evaluate referrals from Cardiology; manage emergent cases and rounding.
• Post-surgical management; support from CVU on site.
