Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Behavior Technician OR a bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, behavioral health, or a related field.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to obtain state and federal background clearances (PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History, FBI).
  • CPR Certification and Mandated Reporter Training required or obtainable.
  • Physically able to participate in activities with clients (sitting on floor, kneeling, bending, etc.).

  • Collect and graph behavioral data, maintain session notes, and manage program materials.
  • Communicate with BCBA and caregivers; attend supervision meetings.
  • Adhere to safety procedures, confidentiality, and client boundaries.
  • Promote positive learning environments and engage children through play and learning.

Weekend Behavior TechnicianAbout the PositionBeyond Behavior Consulting is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide high-quality, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children in home and community settings on the weekend. This position will work one-on-one with our valued clients under the supervision and direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position is responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting and documenting behavioral data, teaching new skills, reducing challenging behaviors, and creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment for clients.What You'll DoProvide individualized 1:1 ABA therapy in the home and community on the weekend.Implement individualized behavior intervention and treatment plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.Collect accurate behavioral and skill-acquisition data during daily sessions.Graph and maintain client data as required.Use evidence-based ABA strategies, including positive reinforcement, prompting, shaping, chaining, differential reinforcement, and token economies.Support clients in developing communication, social, adaptive, academic, and other functional skills.Implement behavior-reduction strategies safely and appropriately.Maintain accurate and detailed session notes using appropriate ABA terminology.Maintain client program materials and VB program books.Communicate professionally and regularly with BCBA and caregivers.Attend individual and group supervision meetings and complete required documentation.Follow company policies, clinical protocols, and safety procedures with minimal prompting.Respond appropriately to client crises and emergencies according to established protocols and training.Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.Promote client safety and create a positive, engaging learning environment.Participate in staff meetings and required trainings.Perform other duties as assigned.What We're Looking ForFor this role, we are looking for a patient, enthusiastic, and dependable individual who genuinely enjoys helping children with autism and has availability strictly on the weekends. Ideal candidates will communicate effectively, work professionally with families and clinical teams, follow treatment plans and direction, accept feedback, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
