Job summary

Black Cap in Wisconsin is seeking a friendly part-time barista to provide friendly and efficient service while maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.

You will work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, use product knowledge to describe items, prepare coffee and tea beverages, and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently lift and carry heavy items.
• Able to stand for up to 8 hours and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Part-time schedule with weekend availability (Fridays–Sundays).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders accurately, and deliver friendly, efficient service.
• Describe menu items, ingredients, and beverage characteristics to customers.
• Suggest upgrades and complementary items to enhance the guest experience.
• Follow cash handling, POS, and safety procedures.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and other beverages per recipes and standards.
• Prepare food items like breakfast and lunch sandwiches following recipes and safety guidelines.
• Taste beverages during shifts to ensure flavor quality and consistency.
• Maintain sanitation and organization of service areas and stations.
• Restock service stations and inventory as needed throughout shifts.
• Complete opening and closing duties according to store procedures.
