Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Weekend Inventory Manager for the Appeals & Grievances team in Connecticut. The role is full-time and requires working four days weekly, including weekends (Fri-Mon or Thurs-Sun).

You will coordinate weekend staff assignments, triage expedited appeals, and manage weekend inventory to ensure compliance and timely processing. Collaborate with leaders to drive quality output, maintain HIPAA confidentiality, and support cross-department escalation and case resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in appeals/grievances or healthcare environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plan weekend staff assignments and volume to ensure compliance.
• Triage and assign expedited appeals; standardize how Appeals and Grievances are routed.
• Manage inventory to ensure regulatory compliance for weekend processing.
• Communicate and elevate cases to Medical Peer reviewers.
• Maintain vendor relationships and monitor compliance and performance.
