KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a high-energy weekend morning anchor reporter to join our team. This role requires leadership, credibility, poise and the willingness to hit the field to cover big stories.

The anchor will be a newsroom leader with a positive drive to impact our newscasts and community, reporting to the News Director and collaborating with management on scripts and coverage.

Qualificações

• 2+ years anchor experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of reporting experience.
• Anchor who connects with viewers and can report effectively.
• Ability to summarize information into clear components under pressure.
• In-person attendance is required.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver scripted and ad lib material with professionalism and personality.

KOCO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Oklahoma City, OK, is looking for a high-energy weekend morning anchor reporter with proven leadership skills to join our team. In addition to credibility, poise, and personality; we're looking for an anchor who isn't afraid to head out into the field and break the big stories. We are looking for a versatile, enterprising self-starter who is fast, efficient, works well under tight deadlines, can develop sources, and isn't afraid to jump into newscast scripts. We are looking for a weekend morning anchor who can be a newsroom leader with a positive drive to make a difference in our newscasts and in our community. This role reports to the News Director.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scripted and ad lib material with professionalism, personality, and purpose
• Report from the field as directed by management
• Have an active presence on social media that engages the audience
• An ability to summarize information into easy-to-understand components
• Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards
• Appears on behalf of the station at public events
• Other duties within newscasts as directed by management

Requirements

• 2+ years of anchor experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of reporting experience
• Your demo reel is indicative of your everyday work
• Anchor that connects with viewers, in addition to reporting skills
• Can work in all weather conditions, work varied shifts, including overnights and weekends and carry up to 50 pounds
• Have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record
• Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production
• In-person attendance is required
