Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Physical Therapist for the Acute Care unit on weekend days. The role focuses on evaluation, goal-directed treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration within the rehab team.

The therapist will supervise PTAs and rehab technicians, provide student supervision, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives. Weekend shift premium pay is available, and eligibility requires active state licensure (PT).

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and state licensure as PT.
• Preferred Doctorate or Master's in Physical Therapy.
• High School diploma required for foundational eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and design goal-directed treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation results to physicians, family and team.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with clinical reasoning.
• Ensure documentation complies with departmental and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and pursue continuing education.
• Supervise PTAs and rehabilitation technicians including communication of plans.
• Provide supervision or teaching to PT students or in-services.
• Contribute to performance improvement data and risk management measures.
