Job summary

Emerald Healthcare is seeking a Weekend Activities Aide to enhance residents' quality of life by planning and leading engaging activities. You will develop programs tailored to individual needs, and work with the care team to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.

The role requires compassion, good communication, and the ability to organize diverse programs on Saturdays and Sundays. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and lead diverse activities and programs.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and organize individual and group activities tailored to residents' interests and needs.
• Build positive relationships with residents and families to encourage participation.
• Maintain records of participation and outcomes; communicate with the care team.
• Coordinate with nursing and therapy staff to integrate activities into resident care.
• Ensure activities comply with facility policies and safety regulations.
