Job summary

Lozier in Middlebury, IN is seeking a Powder Coater Painter to operate coating equipment, mix and apply paint, and maintain safety and quality standards. The role requires setting up the paint booth, washer, and ovens, and using pallet jacks and hand tools.

Strong reliability and ability to work independently or with a team are essential. We offer 12-hour night shifts Fri-Sun, a starting hourly pay of $22.39 plus a $6.00 per hour shift premium and 5% premium, plus a $1,000 bonus after 90 days,

Qualifications

• Prior painter experience preferred.
• Able to operate powder coating and paint application equipment.
• Comfortable operating paint booth, washer and ovens.
• Must wear appropriate PPE and maintain safety standards.

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION

• 12 hour shifts Friday thru Sunday 2nd shift 6:30pm – 7:00am: $22.39 with a $6.00 per hour plus 5% shift premium
• $1,000 bonus after completion of 90 days of employment (subject to taxes), applicable to new hires only.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The painter is responsible for operating equipment that applies a powder coat finish to a variety of raw materials while maintaining Lozier safety and quality standards. The painter mixes and applies paint by disc, handgun, or other method and sets up equipment as required by quality level and other methods as required. This position requires operation of the paint booth, parts washer, and ovens. Equipment that may be utilized includes pallet jack, electric jack, hand tools, and pressure washer. They must wear appropriate PPE. Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to: frequent walking, reaching, and hand usage; occasional standing, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling; and rare sitting or crawling. Previous painter experience is preferred. The position requires reliable attendance; communication skills, both oral and written, as well as the ability to work well independently as well as with a team.
