Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake is seeking a Youth Development Professional (YDP) to engage youth ages 8-12 in fun, age-appropriate activities. You will support academic success, good character, and healthy lifestyles while fostering safe, inclusive club experiences.

This role offers a 25-hour workweek with a Monday–Friday schedule; potential for summer hours. Ideal applicants are energetic, able to manage groups, drive 15-passenger vans, and collaborate with a team to mentor Club

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass a criminal background check, MVR check, and drug screening
• 21 years and over and able to drive 15-passenger vans
• Ability to work in high-energy, loud, active settings with large youth groups
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with youth, peers, parents, community leaders

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily group activities with youth ages 8-12
• Transport youth in Club vehicles for school pickups, field trips, etc.
• Ensure engagement and promote consistent attendance of youths enrolled in activities
• Establish rapport with youth and provide mentoring, guidance, and role modeling
• Provide active supervision and continual interaction with all members
• Submit regular lesson plans, attendance sheets, and other paperwork
• Plan special events such as guest speakers, performances, or field trips
