Job summary

Willamette Pass Resort is seeking an experienced leader to head our Ski Patrol team for the 2026/2027 season, with weekday coverage on the mountain. The role focuses on incident response, safety compliance, coaching staff, and coordinating patrol assignments with resort operations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years patrolling, NSP membership, and strong emergency medical skills, with proven leadership and calm decision-making in challenging weather and high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Alpine Ski Patroller preferred.
• NSP membership or equivalent certification required.
• Emergency medical care and incident response experience in a ski resort.
• Knowledge of patrol operations, safety procedures, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekday ski patrol operations and respond to accidents.
• Monitor performance and ensure safety policy compliance.
• Coordinate coverage, assignments and rotations for optimal mountain coverage.
• Maintain records of incidents and rescues; report findings as required.
• Recruit, train, and mentor patrol staff; ensure first aid and rescue skills.
• Assist with scheduling and payroll; collaborate with resort management.
• Liaise with departments on safety, operations, and incident response.
• Contribute to avalanche control and safety education as applicable.
• Participate in safety meetings, debriefings and incident reviews.
