Job summary

Harmony House Care Center in Waterloo, Iowa, is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our specialized Respiratory Care team on a full-time, weekday schedule with no weekends and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Whether you're an experienced RT or a new graduate, you will perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and deliver oxygen therapy while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and therapy to develop individualized care plans for

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (minimum) from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Iowa Respiratory Therapist License (or eligibility).
• CRTT, CRT, RRT, or CCT credential.
• BLS certification required (ACLS preferred).
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments.
• Provide ventilator management and monitoring.
• Deliver tracheostomy care.
• Administer respiratory treatments and oxygen therapy.
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Monitor residents' respiratory status and modify treatments as appropriate.
• Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately.
• Educate residents, families, and staff regarding respiratory care.
