Job summary

Bright Horizons- Edward Zorinsky location in Omaha is seeking a Cook to plan and prepare nutritious, familystyle meals that support children's health, growth, and learning. Join our team Monday through Friday from 7am-1pm, with no weekend shifts.

You will maintain a clean, safe kitchen, manage food and supply inventory, and partner with center staff to ensure smooth daily meal service. Background checks and minimum education requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
• Having or obtaining a food handler certification within 30 days of hire is required
• Course work or certification in Nutrition is preferred
• Food service experience in childcare, school cafeteria, or high-volume kitchen is preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare balanced, familystyle meals following approved menus and guidelines
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen following food safety and sanitation procedures
• Manage food and supply inventory and place orders with approved vendors
